Melissa first began ballet at the age of three when her parents were shocked to find her mesmerised through the entire production of Sleeping Beauty.

Melissa began as a student at CSOD in 2001 and started working as an assistant teacher in 2009. In 2010 she obtained her ADA Elementary Teaching Certificate receiving honours with distinction and in 2013 Melissa graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and a Bachelor of Education. During this time she had the opportunity to be involved in numerous performances through the UNSW dance company, 'Company 34' and worked with choreographers such as Sue Healey, Craig Barry, Lucinda Coleman and Dale Pope. 

Wanting to further her knowledge and teaching skills Melissa completed her certificate of ballet teaching studies (CBTS) with the Royal Academy of Dance in 2015.

"Dancing is still one of my greatest passions. and I enjoy sharing my love of dance with my students."
